Re: Here's an idea
The mentality of 'oh I helped so should get something special to recognise my awesome and invaluable contribution' sets off the old bullshit detector real quick... This might be my favorite comment on this entire forum. If Chawk had rewarded everybody he felt deserved something, from his own fruiti...

Re: Font & Font Size
I'm not sure exactly what additional explorations we can make beyond these four, but #4 looks like the best option up here. #1 appears to have extended letterforms. With how wide the fixed-width is for each letter we're going to create far too much vertical scroll. You can even tell in the example y...

Re: Interface
I've been working on some of the secondary interactions and functionality and can post those soon. Just let me know when you're getting closer to point in which you'll want the PSD. However I've tried to design the interface in a way that doesn't require heavy use of imagery - so if you'd like me to...

Re: Progress
I used parallels to run RoK back in the day - was secretly hoping for an easier experience though if I decide to play.

Re: Random Musings
There is something very attractive about this idea of active spaces. The idea of being able to attack a square itself or build a square. Remnant has hinted to this idea in a couple of places on the forum as well. Imagine if you had these empires you speak of and certain landmarks can be protected by...

Re: Estimated Release?
I know you're joking Kenichi, but If we're being honest with ourselves we should expect several game wipes in the initial 6-9 months. If everyone in this community is considered a tester than when bugs are fixed and problems get resolved, we can only discover the impact that fix will make if the ent...

Re: Interface
The reason I've decided to design this way is so that "Important" information is fixed in it's location in the interface. This allows my "eye" to know where certain information is going to be at any given moment. This improves my ability to process and scan for the most important...

Re: Interface
The thing about the room buttons, is you only need to access them in very specific rooms and very specific times. There is no point in taking up space in the interface for an interaction that happens rarely. What I'd suggest is just expanding that panel and collapsing others when you enter the room....

Re: Interface
http://imgur.com/LDPAHHu.jpg http://imgur.com/To3vimT.jpg I quickly threw together what I'd call a more modern version of the Kaos Interface. It's still more of a wireframe than a full design but I didn't want to spend hours on something if people weren't responding to it. Color & Systeming on ...
