I urge this one to go along with, and be an alternative for Facebook login. The benefits from using this method are pretty far reaching. Once the game is advertising ready, having a google login will allow "newsletter" type pushes using login information on updates or important announcements. New players wouldn't have to deal with creating or maintaining extra login information. The automated recovery option makes lost passwords a "google issue" and removes this from a game issue. Google is generally a trusted platform and people might be more likely to use their google logins due to trusting the security of the platform.

This would also allow access to the Google platform for integration of information systems or content distribution. One of the major benefits would also be the Google+ contacts advertising ability. People who play the game can easily share the game, their information, ect. along the google platform. Integrating the Google Calendar to hold event information would be an incentive for people and allow for customization and coordination options for the player base.
