What about the idea if combining weapons/armor to increase the effectiveness of your equipped weapon?
Example:
I have a super rare oad named Banana Peel, I take all the common weapon drops ive gathered from leveling and I use them as fusion fuel to upgrade my banana peel.
I played an mmorpg where each class gets a class specific weapon (Ranger = Bow, Mage = Staff, Knight = Sword or Axe, etc...) from a quest after so many levels gained. It drops as a green item. As time goes on, you fused items with it to upgrade it. Once you reached 5 stars you were able to upgrade it to a blue item for an amount of gold and some material needed. This went on until you upgraded it to legendary status (orange)
It gives players something to work towards and allows them to improve their weapons as they leveled. This could replace weapon proficiency's while adding something new to the game.
Maybe give each class a couple of weapon choices each to choose from in the quest. Mage = Staff or Wand, Ranger = Bow or Spear, Knight = Sword or Axe, Druid = Hammer or Fist Weapon, etc...
Just a thought, something to switch it up so Ember isnt exactly like rok.
To Vprof or not to Vprof.
Re: To Vprof or not to Vprof.
I mean, I really, really like the idea but it's just not necessary now. It seems we've evolved past that.
