10mins is so exaggerated....


30secs to a 1 min for a recovery would be fine if this even considered, but lets not.

Could always do 1% instead of 2%, but still have the 2mil max loss. It means max loss would occur at 400 mil rather then 200mil, and you're loss would be halved until you are getting higher. But yeah fully agree for exp loss.

Well... I was never very good pvp, but there really should be a loss for dieing. I found MOST pkers would only kill you the once then ignore you for a while, unless they (or you) were dicks.

Could always try diminishing returns, but that would require more timers.

How about introducing a penalty for max level players who get PKed? Since people were talking about gold sinks how about losing 2% gold from their account each time they die? :P That will motivate some people to get out of the taverns. :lol:

Or something like a bounty board? You kill someone 5+ levels lower than you, server adds you immediately to a bounty board, encouraging people to go out and kill you for the bounty. Would only work if there was a way to stop them from entering safe zones while the bounty's on them, but sounds fun anyways, and everyone likes encouraging in-game murder.

Yea I'm all for incentivizing pking rather than punishing. Nightmist went the punishing route and killed pvp (and pretty much their whole game in doing so). For those who don't know how their system worked you would lose exp when you died at any level and if you went too far under exp you would only attack for like half damage or something. This pretty much stopped people from not only pvp but also traveling and interactions.

i like the bounty system idea, but that would be exploited. one person goes on pking spree, then his friend "pk's" him.
An alternative would be a taxation, taxed for pking under the 5 levels. Only problem is how would the pker know their more than 5 levels higher than the victim?
PS. I hate the taxation idea (and im not a pker... usually).

I think any punishment for pking regardless of level difference is a bad idea. I loved bei ng a fresh lvl 9 getting popped right out of the gates.
