Server down

Server is going to be down for a little bit until the person DDoSing the server gets tired. Just wanted to let you guys know what's the deal. Unsure why they'd target us, but it's not a big deal anyways.

Basically someone is using a botnet to create a massive amount of fake traffic to bring the server down. Now what am I supposed to do with my day lol

To whoever is doing this whatever past beef you had with me from another game can you please leave it there? This community it working together to make a game and they really don't need pressure from a outside source mailing it hard for them to get things done.

Install a traffic monitor on the server so you can monitor incoming IPs. Then just customize the code for peerguardian to manage your IP bans for you and add these attackers. Nothing is perfect but you can take steps against the kiddy hackers

All traffic is monitored as soon as it hits the firewall before the server, at this point if an attack is detected the server IP is null routed to prevent the traffic from affecting others. All of this traffic is thrown away into a "black hole". Currently waiting for the null route to be lifted so I can fix a few things.
