I believe i said Account bound, which would solve the Selling issue. Also seeing as most of the gear is more or less Guild locked, then it's also super unfriendly to Casuals. If the game is to grow, some of these things are going to have to be discussed.

That is something I'm hoping to work on in my next area a challenging area but with time and work put in a player can get some great items solo.

well hurry up and work on your area/ don't make me whip your ass int he mean time

How about adding a chance the item explodes when applying an ember? Explosion rate increases with the strength of the ember? Could help balance the excess supply issue that comes about if unsoulbinding is allowed.

lol what. No. Can you imagine how someone would feel if their +3 sword of death and destruction explodes because they put an ember on it?

How about making SB be account wide as opposed to character lock?

I still worry about markets with account bound items. Fact is that people will get lazy once they have their item, they won't want to go back out and keep doing things in the world. Making the item hunt last longer is a real motivator imo.

Well.. On the other hand you screw people that get a thrill out of leveling and aren't as dedicated ad you are to oading, take Paul or Kis for example, they absolutely enjoy leveling but may end up with real subpar equipment cause getting one void blade is hard enough, imagine doing so for multiple alts.

On a second thought, think of oading and needing Div specific characters to make things simpler, can you imagine leveling another toon and still having to gear it up?

This deserves a good argument, cause it might help with the market but might make it hard for people end game to sustain more than one alt.

So yeah.

I definitely think we should see how things play out with the current system.

But I think a system where you 'fuse' multiples of the same OaD into an ever so slightly better version would cut down on the flooding.

And even then things will eventually get flooded.

The only way around the flooding IMO is to introduce new areas yearly with new and more powerful OaDs, and to then adjust everyone's baseline stats so that the new OaDs don't get too overpowering. Not unlike how OC was added to the game after a while, MoV became the new leaf helm.
Troll. I am here to create the issues that plague the game, I will push your buttons and like the outcome.

Also... what market. The DL are guild locked, FS is guild locked, so on and so forth. So to get any of these items you have to A.Fight the guild at the time(which is fun,and cool) or B. Beat them to it(hoping yo have enough people on/willing to run it.) Even then it's not like the shit is getting sold. There is no market.

The problems of guild lock happens because there are only 2 largeish guilds in the game. It's a separate issue really, but it unfortunately skews everything.

Dreads and Salamander (not the drum) loot would instantly sell, but the droprate on the good items is so low it takes forever to find them. I'm not complaining about them really, but there is a market it's just...well yeah it takes a very long time to get to the point of actually being able to sell them.

I've said before and I'll say again I think the idea of, as Muja put it, fusing items together is pretty cool. It would absolutely help, if not negate entirely, the issue of markets being flooded. I think perhaps some combination of that and account bound gear could be a thing.
