Quest feedback

Postby Folder » Sat Oct 29, 2016 10:42 am

Will be doing more as I have time but it's Halloween weekend so can't do too much just yet.

Working through the cemetery quests for now. First 2 (from Father Arstos) worked fine but are a bit long perhaps. Took me 15 minutes @ lvl25 to get the 7 red slimes, so that could be quite long at appropriate level.

On the 3rd quest I'm having some issues.

Yellow slime, Red slime, Clump of dirt : I already had some in my inventory from killing stuff, and I need 6 or 8 but it still says 0/6 or 0/8. Tried dropping and picking back up but still the same, and I also tried killing new mobs for a "fresh" drop and still the same 0/6 or 0/8.

Energy shard :
[09:32] A wil-o-the-wisp was slain by Folder!
[09:32] Non-deveopment item drop prevented: Energy Shard

Can't comment on Bettina yet as I killed her before getting this quest so now have to wait for respawn.

Also pretty sure it should be Will-o'-the-wisp, 2 L's :).

Flint Feldman's quest: Super ez, reward on this vs the cemetery quests is kinda out of whack. Cemetery should probably be a good but more xp than it is for the work involved.

Lumberjack quest:

Easy enough, same thing with the not updating quest progress though. It showed 0/1 after I found an axe, but turning it in worked fine. Suppose this is some scripting issue?

I think it counts the moment you hand the item to the npc, its the same for all quests. When you have like 10 feathers in your inventory, your quest list says 0/20 or so, but if you hand them to npc , then it says 10/20 , so it counts correct, just doest count the inventory.

Yea that's how I see it too it should let you know when you have the item rather than handing it in? Chris knows about it but I think it's a bit lower on the priority list.

Ok fair enough. Makes sense to me to show it when you have it in your inventory, I guess I can kinda understand both ways but seems goofy to me.

Anyways the energy shard thing was the only thing broken so far.

Ok thanks for the heads up I think Lisa has seen this so it might already be fixed (shard).

I'm adding a few more low levels and ones in the wastelands now that we have a bit more time.

Right, finally got on and had a little time to try out some of the quests (only a few). City guard one (outside of the arena in Seamore). I think he should actually say which creatures to kill (you know, "kill one of each" then have in brackets something like (creatures to be killed: meadow deer, crab and training puppet).
Anyway, ill try out more later if I get time (only other ones i tred was the 3 wines for the inn in seamore and the returning of a "forest axe" and clearing the road (killing 3 forest bandints, 3 copper heads and 3 blackweaves).
Disclaimer: Any ideas I come up with may not even meet my approval. I am just posting an idea based on the topic I have just read.

After completing Losia Teilan quests at the north cave, the reward section lists the seamoor city guard items.
